Got a couple of my long-time wants: and the unpainted beige .

The Baragon is in great condition; nearly perfect paint (just a pinpoint missing at the tip of the horn, and a bit at the edge of the ears) and a very good price.

This makes 6 different Rat Bats for me now, including 2 versions of the Green Glow Neighborhood exclusive (original and version painted by Jim C for US fans). The only one left that I want is the Painted Beige Japan show exclusive (as opposed to the AFFE 3 painted beige ver).

Last one for now: . I like the "walking" Hedoran but this is the first "crawling" version that I like. The wild paint scheme looks good on this figure.

Got a couple new figures today, but first I forgot to mention a big one (to me) from last week ... I've been trying to complete the (not the reissues) for a long time now. They're hard to find, in part because the differences from the originals are very subtle. A couple weeks ago I saw an ebay auction for a lot of several Gamera HGs. Got a couple HG 2 Guirons, Space Gyaos, Viras and what I thought looked like a complete set of the original HG 1's. Bingo! Now not only do I have the full set, I've got a few spares too.

New stuff: - This is a real beauty. Great sculpt & great paint job.

Now for the real score: M1 red Marusan Reissue Godzilla - I've wanted this lottery figure since I first saw it. At the time I got the blue painted flesh GMK Godzilla and the yellow Titanosaurus, but it just didn't work out for me to get this one.

I have to give a big shout out to Bill Stanley for fixing me up with this guy. I buy from lots of people, but for the past 3½ years I've been getting a lot of stuff by ordering through Bill. He's been able to get me a lot of really hard to get stuff (like those 'APES' 1962 & 1967 Kongs, the amazingly hard to find translucent gray MH Hedorah, and probably half of my Marmits & M1s) but I'd written this one off. Big surprise to me when he was able to get it for me, at a really great price. Thanks Bill!

Mail just came. Boy is this a fun one! Got the two new Bandais. Despite Hedorah's size, I love him! Better than my YMSF and the old 8." Godzilla 68 is OK. Wasn't expecting much to begin with. Even my Memorial Boxe version ranks just higher than the Heisei Godzillas that have been reissued to death.

The 2 big ones that I'm even more excited about came as well. The first (and I'm sorry if I outbidded you on this) is the Little Godzilla from Bandai. No tag, but at least I finally managed to get one after more than a year.

The biggest and bestest one is the Shogun Rodan I just got in. Holy crap, this boy is huge! Need to get some rubber bands for the wings, and I'm a little disappointed that there's no box, but overall he's in great condition. I love how you can move his neck around too. I knew the mouth moved, but not that. And yes, I have been acting like a five-year-old and grabbing anything I can think of with the claws (keep the thoughts clean, fellas).

That's all for today. Got some big stuff coming in the mail over the next few weeks. More excited over these than pretty much anything else to this day!

I got my Godzilla '68 and Hedorah yesterday. Very cool! Hedorah looks awesome, but I wish his arms could move! Godzilla's paintjob is an amazing improvement over the Memorial box version. Even though Bandai screwed up the tag on Godzilla, it's a nice picture. heh.

Now for those who want an authentic Godzilla 1972... just buy an extra '68, and rub him in the dirt til he gets nice and worn. ;)

New Marmits - Giant King Goji and Rose Biollante

Postby KaijuZoo » Sun Oct 29, 2006 5:20 pm

I got in a big ol' box of new stuff this past week including these two marvelous Marmits !!
MARMIT GIANT KING-GOJI GODZILLA (1962) (Light Brown Version)
Image
This giant (13.5") Marmit King Goji paint scheme is similar to the Bullmark giant Godzilla. I like the red mouth compared to the pink as seen on the dark Marmit G'62 version and the sculpt is well, dead on for King-Goji !!

MARMIT ROSE BIOLLANTE (1989)
Image
This is the largest (8.5") and most realistic version of Rose Biollante yet produced in vinyl. The two small Bio heads and larger leaf petals are adjustable and I think the vibrant colors make for quite a stunning figure!!

Picked up a few items from Chiller, I got the new Bandai Hedorah figure, a small Marmit "Event Exclusive"(supposedly) flying King Ghidorah(if anyone has any info on this figure, I'd be happy to hear it), an autographed print from Bob Eggleton of Goji '54, and 2 DVD's...Great Yokai War and Gorath. Not a bad haul.
