Mouth if you didn't like the henchmen, there is actually more in this version-maybe. That is I have a "international" fan dub that restores many lost donner scenes that include more Otis bumbling(escaping from prison and a scene with "slasher fogelstien") and Ms Teschmacher(bathroom jokes in the fortress) stuff.Again if they use all of the goofy stuff remains to be seen.

Man... I love Ned Beatty too, but the bumbling henchman really take me out of the first film... a lot... not only that, but they really take away Lex Luthor's "Lex Luthor-ness" too in my eyes by making HIM a bumbling bafoon. And Lex Luthor making bathroom jokes just sounds wrong.

Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor is way overrated.

As with most of his movie roles, Hackman just keeps talking big and then starts screaming like a spoiled brat. How the hell did he win an oscar...
