Darn, I was hoping the commentaries would be on the Japanese versions as well, but Kpa puts up good points about that. Atleast it's a commentary, but I don't normally watch the dubs of these films. I've yet to watch "King of the Monsters" included in the "Gojira" set, but I've watched "Gojira" atleast three times by now.

Both purists and dubbies annoy me equally. While I agree the English versions of these movies are the ones most grew up with and they don't deserve all the flack they get, I think it's a pretty damn shame some people prefer these versions just because they're in English. I hear lame excuses like people can't stand reading subs but since these are Japanese films, I would think that's a tad bit offensive, maybe even rude to the producers of these Japanese made productions. Also, judging the Japanese version of movie you hate that's been butchered (like say King Kong vs. Godzilla) by watching random clips or something, then still standing by your original belief ''it's still bad'' is VERY ignorant. Same case with TOMG. Then again, I could say the same for purists who don't do any better.

I think a real fan would watch either versions either way. And I'm glad CM has both!

I also own the old Video Treasures tape and the Picture Quality on my copy still looks good altough I've lost the Cover for it. I can't wait to get these new Discs the Commentaries sound like their going to be great. I also can't wait to see how good the menus are. I hope that the setup Menu is setup like on Media Blasers Toho discs. Who else can't wait to get these discs?
