Ah so they made a Garasharp figure. That alone makes Garasharp cooler than that Bagan chap.

I had to go through a bidding service to get it off Yahoo Japan which added to the cost, but even with service fees & international shipping it was about $90, which I consider to be very reasonable (esp. given how much the first version has sold for). Not much more than the average Marmit or M1.

Here are some pics of the Ghidora and the Biollante.

And for a better sense of scale, here's the Ghidora pose with a Bandai 8" Mechagodzilla

Finally, here's the Marmit Biollante posed with a Bandai 8" 1991 Godzilla.

I can't find the large scale MG anywhere anymore.

As far as the Biollante is concerned, I could afford one right now, but it would cripple my ability to buy almost any other Godzilla toys until I get to work again over my week-long Thanksgiving Break, or Christmas time as well. It would be most of the money I have right now, and there are still several other original series Bandai figures I want to buy before this year is over.

That and it's literally just too much of a toy. I don't know if I have any desk or shelf space that would even be able to reasonably accomodate it. The other Marmits I listed in the other thread that I like I'd easily be able to find room for, and I can still find most of them in Clubtokyo's marketplace/eBay or I imagine I could even contact Steve Agin, though I imagine his prices would be about 20-30% higher than what they should be.

Ah well, we can't have everything. There are many Bandai toys I'm not counting on ever being able to find that I will be able to afford within reason anytime soon.

I just got some goodies from Kimono My House in Emeryville. I got Bandai 6" Godzilla 54, Bandai Ultraman Zoffy with translucent red vinyl and glitter, 2 Ultraseven Bandai monsters, Windam and Crazy Gons, and another Bandai ultraman monster who's name I don't know. I think he first appeared in an episode of Ultraman Jack. Here's a pic, anyone know his name?

Sadora! His figure is actually from his revival in Ultraman Mebius - there's also a brand new Ultraman Festival version with silly-yet-cool-looking extended arms, an ability he had in both Jack and Mebius.

Sadora's one of my favorite current Ultraman toys. There's something campy yet intriguing about the design I can't help but like, and he reminds me a lot of a kaiju I invented as a young child.

I know all about "HG" from talking with Dutch and Jean at G-Fest, including a story about a particularly wonderful trip he and a couple others took to his house(s).

I don't know if I'm going to try to get anymore older toys from him; his prices the the majority of the newer stuff from the past six years isn't too bad, I got a couple Godzilla 2000's for $45 each and a Megaguirus set mint on card for $90, both of which are a little higher than on eBay but I think Scott Horton had both of these prices this year at G-Fest. I know Clawmark has much higher on both of them right now.

I won't tell you what I spent on the MIJ Perf. Tag '91 Godzilla and '91 Mecha King Ghidorah; I got pictures and they're both in outstanding condition from most of the toys I've seen of these two models so I'm not really upset about what I paid.

I can say I haven't put myself into the position of even being able to be conned with a bootleg because I'm so specific when I ask about toys, but if what I've heard is true than I think I'm going to limit dealing with him as much as I can on the newer toys at all, and try to avoid completely any of the older toys. The hint he gave in the latest G-Fan toy review that he (tries to) sell his 1992 Bandai Biollante for $600?! That damn thing better ship in a solid gold box, or something.

His eBay auctions are quite ridiculous. I remember reading one for the first time and just thinking "what the hell is this?" Oh well.

Yeah, Destroyer, I'd go with Mike Johnson if you can. He's got good prices and good toys, the one toy I did buy from him got to my house so quick that I wondered if he mailed it out before he even got my money order, no kidding.
