I wouldn’t say they are a laugh riot or on the same level as Zebraman is, but in their own right the Ultraman Zearth films are some of the more enjoyable and colorful entries in the Ultraman franchise. Its kind of a shame only two films were made, a full trilogy would have been very nice. And not only is Zearth a great looking Ultran (or Ultra-Being, or whatever the right term is) the various monsters in the films, like Ultraman Shadow and Kottenapope are very cool. Don't plug bootleggers on MZ has both films together taken off from the Japanese DVD release, unfortunately they lack subtitles and I don’t know of any other company that sells copies which do, as I’ve been meaning to replace my darkened VHS copies which happen to have the subtitles. Some of the humor is dialog based, especially the nice little references to Ultraseven in the second film.
