For a non-Godzilla movie, I watched RODAN on DVD and enjoyed the movie as much as I enjoyed GODZILLA and MOTHRA. For a Godzilla movie, I saw INVASION OF [THE] ASTRO MONSTER. Nick Adams is da bomb. No seriously, he wreaks of awesomeness. Toho should be damned and condemned for not leaving his Engrish in the movie from the beggining. The movie used stock footage! Oh no, it sucks! *gaps* TOO MUCH HUMAN DRAMA! *gaps even more* OH NO, LIKE NONE OF HONDA'S MOVIES ARE EVER FOCUSED ON HUMAN CHARACTERIZATION BEFORE!

I will be the first to say that ALL Godzilla movies from 1962-1968, I LOVE THEM ALL EQUALLY. I don't care, even with the silliness, they're still damn good movies. It's always pain-in-the-rear to choose my favorite because I enjoyed this decade a lot. Hell, even ALL MONSTERS ATTACK, arguably considered the worst of series next to GODZILLA VS. MEGALON, was enjoyable for me. Who can't forget non-Godzilla movies, but were still kaiju? Yep, the best damn years of kaiju movies.

^^ I agree 100%. Nick Adams and Ishiro Honda both ruled. May they rest in peace.

Just finished the Japanese version of Rodan. An imperfect film, but a damn fine one nonetheless. I'm about to watch....I dunno. I haven't decided yet.

Godzilla Final Wars. Rather I scimmed through it. You know, I've bashed this movie a bit in the past, but to be truthful, I really do enjoy it. It's not a GREAT film, and it's excessively campy, but it's actually a blast to watch. My favorite scene is probably when Don Frye proclaims to the X-seijin leader;

"There's two things you don't know about the earth,

One of 'em's me,

And the other is....GODZILLA!"

Classic! 8-)

^But I like the follow-up line even more!

I enjoyed watching Gamera 2 so much two days ago that I decided to watch it again! Fantastic movie. I think it's my favorite of the trilogy right now.

By the way, after seeing the film twice I seem to have an urge to buy
