By now I should know better, but it still amazes me how quickly some fans automatically assume the worst (it's cancelled, the company folded, they're unprofessional) when things don't go exactly how they expected.
When Discotek sent their DVD schedule to Henshin! Online last year, they clearly stated that "Street dates for the first four titles are firm; all others are tentative and subject to change." The first four titles -- ZERO WOMAN: RED HANDCUFFS, ANIMAL TREASURE ISLAND, TARO: THE DRAGON BOY, and LUPIN THE THIRD: STRANGE PSYCHOKINETIC STRATEGY-- were released just like Discotek promised, and most of the other titles have also been released on schedule.
Discotek said they would be releasing an average of one title a month. So far they've released:
Oct 05- ZERO WOMAN: RED HANDCUFFS
Nov- ANIMAL TREASURE ISLAND
Jan 06- TARO: THE DRAGON BOY
Feb- LUPIN THE THIRD: STRANGE PSYCHOKINETIC STRATEGY
Mar- SEXY SOCCER
April- THE WAR IN SPACE
May- PUSS 'N BOOTS
June- BURST CITY
July- ELECTRIC DRAGON 8000V
Aug- SARS WARS
That's 10 titles in 11 months, exactly what they promised. You can find all of their DVDs on Amazon at

Discotek's initial announcement stated that MIKADROID was
tentatively scheduled for July 2006 and BYE BYE JUPITER was
tentatively scheduled for August. They were never set in stone and they've obviously changed. Arbok at Toho Kingdom emailed Discotek regarding JUPITER and was told, "...we're still waiting on some materials for it so right now we aren't sure if it will be before the end of the year or not." That's disappointing, but Discotek never promised the DVD would be out this month.
Discotek's website is up and running fine:

I own seven of their DVDs and think they're doing a great job; they're clearly showing a lot of love for these films and are trying to make the best DVDs possible. I'm not sure how Discotek can be called unprofessional when they caught the problem on WAR IN SPACE early in the release and offered to fix it immediately (that's quality customer service IMO) and have consistently released new DVDs each month for the past year.
