^Yup, when I first came on this board I thought Bio was very unpopular, including with me. Then as I watched it a few more times (and I grew up a bit, I was 12 when I joined this forum) it became one of my all time favorites and my fav of the Heiseis along with G1985.

I hope either Miramax releases the film on DVD or their licence expires and CM or Sony gets it.

Has anyone noticed that Godzilla vs. Biollante's dubb (and international dubb) is actually quite good? You can even recognize voices from the 70's Godzilla films! Then in the next movie the dubbs went straight to hell. Wonder what happened.

You know, I think that Kaneko's Gamera trilogy picked up where Godzilla vs. Biollante left off.

Though special effects have grown more sophiticated I don't know if any Godzilla movie has visually surpassed G vs. Bio. GMK had some good ones, but a few crappy rushed shots. Tokyo SOS didn't have any particually bad effects (which most G films have a couple), but at the same time didn't impress you with the supreme quality.
