Ah, Atari just won't be bringing anything out for a little over a month, nothing major at all. THe only next-gen system they're supporting so far, I believe, is the Wii with the DBZ game coming out for that (which I am still interested in how the hell they're gonna do that). Not sure what else they're working on. Seems they're focusing on the real money-maker they have, DBZ. Didn't we all have a discussion once on why Atari may be in trouble. and without that series they'd be pretty much screwed?
As for SNK, what do they make besides Fatal Fury? I love that series (not nearly as much as Street Fighter) but it's in need of a drastic overhaul anyway. I just don't quite understand why they release Fatal Fury 2001 edition years later for retail...
I'm not surprised developers are waiting to bring titles out. They naturally want money asap and if the launches of previous years have shown us anything it's that there's going to be huge shortages. I think it's a reason why we saw few really good launch games for the 360 and well, not really any for the PS2. Xbox had Halo of course, and the Cube had SSBM. It's basically up to the first party developers (with exceptions here and there), I believe, to leave the 1st edition of games for a system memorable. Of course it's all a difference of opinion anyway, but just something i've noticed over the years. I think of the 3, the Wii will have the best launch games (I'm personally looking forward to Wii Sports).
