How much do you love the Trendmasters line?

I've seen some off-the-wall Godzilla auctions but this one is great.

But since I feel rather bad about creating a thread dedicated entirely to the joke of this, I have a legitimate question. Was the Doom Island line only the action figures or were there roaring figures in the open boxes as well? I've only ever seen the bubbled figures (other than the Power-up repaints), and didn't Baragon, Megalon, and Varan only come in the roaring line on the website?

I love how we're being led to believe that these are worth more than platinum since so many of these came with the wrong trading card. Meanwhile I've never seen one with the wrong card.

OH wow that is really awesome! This is the 1st time I've seen actual pictures of it in its original box. (Lots of dust tho hahaha) I never had a chance to get the Doom Island series as I discovered Bandai back then. Since I had very limited cash, I focused on the Bandai series. Looking cool! As soon as I find a stable job and move out to a bigger place, I'm definately need to fill my collection with all the stuff I've missed. :D Thanks for posting the pics!

Hesei, for curiosity, where did you find those pics?

I'm probably gonna find out I paid too much at some point, but I bred snakes for this reason. It sold at 20,000 yen which translates to $175-$180. Add in shipping and the deputy charge and it may result somewhere around $200-$220. I haven't got the final shipping costs yet because a bunch of other stuff is coming as well. I'll figure out a total once I get the info in a week or so.

Aside from that, I FINALLY found a use for my scanner! It's POS HP software so bare with me until I get a better 1 up. Here's the back of the Doom Island card.

There's quite a bit of wear as you can see, but it shows the monsters nicely. Anyway, I'd heard that Trendmasters had the rights to Kamakiras, but was disappointed when I didn't find him on the back of this. It would be really great if a Kumongra made it out. Only good one outside of the HG line is that Marmit or something (can't remember the manufacturer) and the prototype by Y-MSF (who knows when we'll see that).
