I'm pumped up for the PS3 again. It seems Sony is gonna "1up" MS in everyway. Starting with HDD storage to online. :D

Ya, im glad I decided to wait. 360 is kool and all, but I want this more. As far as hardware and ideas are concerned, they really got their "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" together and i've said it before i'll say it again: Sony and Nintendo will likely not make the mistakes that MS made with the launch and it seems like they're taking their time (also good). Also that suggested price of less than $425 is also nice. I heard they've been redesigning the controller, so im interested to see how that'll turn out...

You read that wrong Brick Side, the PS3 "will not be less than 50.000YEN (~$425USD)". The final price is all going to depend on how much of a loss Sony is willing to take on each system. Seeing as how all the stand alone Blu-Ray players shown so far are priced at around $1000 minumum [sold at loss], I can't honestly see the system selling for much lower than $750 - $800 out of the gate if Sony hopes to make a profit on hardware sales.

Do you recall Ken Kutaragi's comments last year on the PS3's price?

"[The PS3] is not a game machine. We've never once called it a game machine. I'm not going to reveal [the PS3's] price today. I'm going to only say that it'll be expensive. I'm aware that with all these technologies, the PS3 can't be offered at a price that's targeted towards households."

Cost falling because of mass production takes time, if the estimates I'd read for 360 cost reduction are typical, it's going to about around 9 months to a year for that to happen.

In any case there is a whole lot of tech, particularly bleeding edge tech, in the PS3. I'll honestly be surprised if Sony can sell the PS3 at $500.

If Sony can't sell a Blu-Ray movie player below $1000 [and that's with selling the units below manufacturing costs] I can't reasonably expect the PS3 to sell for a mere $500 - it's just too low. $600 is a possiblity, an iffy one to be sure, but far more likely than $500 for a low-end estimate considering everything Sony has put into the PS3.

Ya, when is there gonna be a new LOK game? Seriously, I think it's about time for one...

Well, I have nothing agaisnt the special editions of MG. I for one thought MGS3 was perfect and im intrigued to see what the new camera system is like and what not, but I may not get it because I can't take my PS2 online at school here (unless its against someone else on campus), and I don't at home either so that sorta eliminates the largest draw of it. I did get Substance which I found enjoying because of all the VR missions and what not, but ya, the original copy of SOL became obsolete basically. Now I did get VR missions but that's basically a whole other game from MGS since the original is not on there (im sure if it was on a DVD and not a CD they would've put it on).

Well I picked up MGS3:S yesterday and I tired online out for one game and I thought it was decent I'm not used to playing TPP(Third Person Perspective)for a shooter, the new camera system is a lot better. Plus you get the first MG games two so that's a bonus.

Sadly I didn't get the preorder bonus with my MGS3:S :?
