Actually Pegasus did appear back in Black Market, has been mentioned time and again.

At the end of this season, Kara leads a small strike team to try and rescue the Caprican resistance gang.

The tests to detect Cylons do actually work but considering who is doing it, it can be falsified at the whims of its creator.

Tonight's episode was a lot more fun than the previous ones.

1. Lee gets promoted into the family business of commanding battlestars

2. The battle scene was a surprise and pretty well done considering the circumstances (battlestars sure can take damage can't they).

3. Still some leftover problems between Lee and Kara as a result of last week's episode.

4. Another commander of the the Pegasus bites it.

5. Finally another swipe at the real world (this time with the power of the government and civil liberties) with Gaius Baltar launching the swipe with unintentional help from Tom Zarek, behind the scenes help with Number Six, and unintentional help of Roslin playing right into his hands with help from Admiral Adama (he quoted Roslin's own words that she spoke in the mini-series right back at her).

6. Tom Zarek plays both sides to kill each other first while he waits in the shadows to ascend.

So what do you all think.

Tonight's episode starts off the final endgame for this season and somewhat unfortunately, it is somewhat of a disjointed start.

1. The main plot about Cylon society is a little confusing and all. There were some shocking parts (the begining where the rejuvenated Six and Sharon are reborn into new bodies).

2. Well it seems that it works both ways for both Baltar and Number Six (in terms of both having hallucinations) and although I think I'm a little nuts to admit this, I really think that they're soulmates in a way.

3. On the other hand, the dealings with the new Cylon child born within the fleet is much more fun. At first I thought that they were insane to kill the child since perhaps the child is the only thing keeping the Cylons from jumping in with scores of basestars armed with nukes and blow the entire colonial fleet straight to hell. But then when we found out that the child is alive and with foster parents, I have to admit gratefully that they did not sink down to another new level and the fact that the child is now hidden gives Admiral Adama and President Roslin an ace in the hole to use (if the Cylons want the child to survive, then they have to keep the fleet intact for now while they search for it the hard way).

Perhaps I'll need a future viewing to get more thoughts about tonight's episode.

Next week's episode is the true start of the season finale and if you have looked up at the internet and seen the trailer for the new episode, I think you can understand how the episode got its title "Lay down your burdens".

Oh by the way, for those who are fans of the character of Admiral Adama, do you know today is Edward James Olmos's birthday (today he is 59). :)

The party is already starting in a big way.

1. Loved the begining part with all of the different character interactions going on at the same time in different places (although the Chief's actions were shocking).

2. I'm surprised that Tyrol doesn't already suspect that the reverand that he is talking to is actually a Cylon himself (from the episodes only, he does drop some good hints).

3. The sight of all of those Raptors taking off and heading towards Caprica was a sight to see. And finally luck goes Starbuck's way (if only partially).

4. Both candidates have powerful arguments about the new (and potentially habitable) planet that they discover and although Roslin does speak the cold hard truth, Baltar appeals directly to the wish of the people.

This is getting exciting and its only the first sixty minutes of the entire episode (the 90 minute special next week looks to be very exciting with a lot of plot twists and revelations). The only quote that I can think of here is from the old Mobile Suit Gundam series (it is "Who will survive"). :D

Seriously, Scott, I don't think you could more wrong.

First, if the show were all that predictable, tonight's developments would never have happened. I mean, the show just jumped forward OVER ONE YEAR!!! Second, there's no indication at all that this is about the New Caprican's being Cylon slaves, just the opposite. These are the followers of the War Heroes. They didn't find humanity to enslave them, they feel they've sinned enough. I suspect they're on the run from the other Cylon faction. Finally, I highly doubt that actually finding Earth will figure into the show in the immediate future at all.

Anyway, that's what I took from it. Other than the fact that that was the single best cliffhanger of any series ever. I haven't been so blown away since Locutus of Borg showed up in STTNG!!
