So this comes down to basically whether this Thai co., Chaiyo, did or did not forge a Hanko stamp "signature" on a document over 30 years ago? Oi-Vey...
If this is the future of Tsuburaya productions and really will decide whether they will exist as a co. or not, I'd expect them to fight this release tooth-and-nail. I mean... "This is it -- empty your guns! There's no turning back!" If this Chaiyo does in fact not legally have the rights, then I wouldn't expect this to be released.
Either way, this is so convoluted and confusing to someone without a law background (and it sounds as though you'd need knowledge of Japanese law, at that), I just can't see myself getting upset with anybody purchasing this, either. Unfortunately, it's up to Tsuburaya Prod.s to see this doesn't get a release. It's unreasonable to expect the average Joe, who goes into his local Best Buy and sees this on the shelf, to not buy it because of a disputed court case.
