And don't forget that the two issue story Hellboy: Makoma, or, A Tale Told by a Mummy in the New York City Explorers’ Club on August 16, 1993 #1 is out right now. With art by Mignola and the legendary Richard Corben.

No offense, but the cartoon style looks to be yet another western cartoon that mitigates style for consistency. The image of the professor looks like it is straight out of that Atlantis disney movie.

Plot to first animated movie from
WARNING: this is an overall plot outline and might be considered SPOILERS to the first Hellboy Animated movie...

“Meanwhile, intense thunderstorms are spreading over the planet and huge monsters are waking all over the world. Suspecting that it’s all connected to the events in Japan, Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien rush to join Kate and Russell. Their plane is hit by lightning and crashes into the sea, and they have to face a giant creature of their own. They learn that if the dragons completely awake, it will be an end to Man’s dominion of the Earth. In the world of folklore, Hellboy is tricked into breaking the sword, which brings him and the two demons back into our world.â€
