I don't know so much about Jack Horner being a liar, but I know one thing.
His T. rex scavenger theory has been disproven by direct fossil evidence, and he continues to cling to his hypothesis.
In addition to the two duckbill dinosaur specimens with healed tyrannosaurus bite marks, a fossil triceratops skull has been found with tyrannosaurus rex bite marks that had also begun to heal before the triceratops had died. This means it survived a T. rex attack.
Conclusion? Tyrannosaurus was both a predator and a scavenger. No carnivore turns down free protein. Horners' idea that Tyrannosaurus rex was unable to hunt has been proven false.
