OMFG, I was playing Dead or Alive 4 online today, and I was in a game that started to lag very badly, so I exited it. The next game I went into was doing the same, so I exited DoA, went to my Dashboard, logged out, and shut down the console like I always do. However, when I turned on the console, it told me there were no profiles, so I clicked on the retrieve gamertag through Live, and what do I get, a message saying, "You must have a harddrive to access Live." I screamed "WHAT," and went to my memory settings, and what do I see, Unformated.

I LOST EVERYTHING I HAD ON THERE. I had to reformat the HDD, and now I have to play Call of Duty 2, Perfect Dark Zero, and redo every character in DoA4 for the costumes and hidden characters. Not to mention now I got to do the regular games' update again.

Tomorrow, I'm getting a memory card so I can back up my games!

Are you guys keeping your Xboxs on carpet? If so then that could be a main factor.

Or another reason could be that your storing them by things that are magnetic, as that will erase data off of a HDD.

Well your speakers could be emmiting magnetism so that could be the problem for your HDD right there.

As for your PDZ data when you start the game up goto change storage device and then play a game in single player and it should save your data to the memory card.

DOA4 should be the same way.
