Personally I feel the missing tracks will be a gimmick to sell a future version of the CD, probably in one of those box sets they've been releasing. Or it was just a big oversight.

I thought Stereolab's take on the Godzilla theme wasn't very good. There are better tracks on the album (Zebrahead's Godzilla vs. Tokyo instantly springs to mind).
As for the Final Wars soundtrack itself, on the first listen I was thinking, "Wow, this is certainly different. Hmm." The more I listened to it, though, the more I began to like it. At this point in time, I think I've played it more times this year than I have any other kaiju soundtrack in my collection.
The end credits theme is still completely beyond redemption, of course.
