Gailbrath interviews him in his "Monsters are Attacking Tokyo!" book (which if you don't have, you should get IMMED.!). IIRC, he didn't exactly disown them, but didn't think much of them. Despite the fact he looked down on his films, Fukuda told Gailbrath he only decided to be interviewed by him because Gailbrath wrote him such a nice, complementary letter.
