I used to watch this as a kid, along with "Space 1999", "Blakes 7", "Doctor Who", and a bunch of other sci-fi I've generally forgotten about. I recently re-discovered "Buck Rogers" on DVD, so I decided to pick it up just out of curiosity. Though I'm sure my own personal nostalgia has a lot to do with it, I still find myself loving this show a lot. I'm not actually sure why, to be honest.

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts on the show. Aside from my vague memories and my recent viewings, I don't really know much about the show at all.

*Biddi biddi biddi* Guilty pleasure, Buck!

This gets frequent marathons on the US Sci-Fi Channel, so I've seen quite a few again in recent years. One scene that stand out in particular was Rogers and Dr. Huer entertaing some alien dignitaries; long gratuidous scene of some scantly clad men and woman on illuminated roller skates dancing to Disco music!! If ENTERPRISE had more stuff like that it would still be on the air!

I'm sure the nostaglia factor effects me as well... I have fond memories of seeing the original pilot in it's theatrical release; wierd Bondian opening sequence and did you know the Buck Rogers theme had lyrics?!
