You know, *I* know how bad vs Hedorah is, and it's still one of my childhood memories. When I saw it, it was the first matinee that my parents let me see by myself. Right after Hedorah flew over the schoolyard, the film melted. That was the most awesome thing in my memory as a kid, that Hedorah melted the film!

All I'm saying is that its all realist art. Besides, there's a big difference between films like Monster and b-movies like Gacy. And how they are marketed is all handled by corporation and management. But either way, it all fits into the same boat of being realist art, and true story or not, a good story is a good story. If you have a problem with it, don't watch it. Depressing films will always be around. Not everything story can be positive and happy. The Catcher In The Rye isn't a very happy book, but its a lot of people's favorite. And since you don't know any of these film maker's motives, your assumptions are just that... assumptions. You obviously aren't a fan of these films, but I've payed attention to Monster and everything that went into it, and your accusations are unfair and biased.

Monster is one of my favorite movies, and I don't appreciate people saying its sick. It obviously flew over your head if you couldn't find anything positive out of that movie. When I saw it for the first time I was blown away and inspired. I like movies like that because I can relate them to what I see on the news every day and the state of the world today. Its a film that gets you to think twice about the world you live in, which is why I love it so much. And I have every right to defend one of my favorite movies, as you have every right to state your opinion. There's nothing wrong with doing either of those. But if someone came on here and said anyone who likes a Godzilla movie is sick because they like to see cities get destroyed and things get crushed, I'm sure you'd have the same reaction. Both claims are equally ridiculous.

Godzilla vs the Smog Monster is one of the most unwatchable G-films of all. A dull, bore-fest. Comparing Smog Monster to GMK is like comparing "Manos", the Hands of Fate to Halloween.
