Bandai Creation GMK Ghidorah and Space Godzilla -- The Ghidorah is nice, but the Space Godzilla is nothing special.

Y-MSF glow Manda -- I wasn't crazy about the painted version but I do like the glow stuff, and the sculpt here is very good. I'm impressed with how well it holds its position; I thought it would have more give in it.

Iwakura Gamera, Gappa, Guilala SD set -- I wasn't going to get this one but I got a really good price on an unopened case. Ended up with one of the chase figures ("angry" Legion) and also got the glow Guilala chase relatively cheap off Yahoo Japan.

Banpresto Godzilla 2005 -- Very nice. From pics of the suit it hasn't impressed me, and I didn't think the Bandai looked good either, but this Banpreso looks really nice. Excellent pose; dynamic without being exaggerated.

Bandai Orga -- Something's wrong when it's cheaper to get a figure off Yahoo Japan than eBay. I passed on one at 800 yen and got mine for 500 yen (=$4.90). It's dead mint, including the tag (one of the cleanest I've seen). Even with the bidding service fees it was a ton cheaper than what this figure's been selling for on ebay. Totally nuts.

I also tracked down some of the earlier Shogakukan Dexlue Treasure books:

Gamera 3 -- Smallish at 64 pages, but 12 pages of making-of material packed with pics. Plus it shows front, side, and back pics of Nightmare Gamera; I can't believe they did a whole suit for a creature that was only shot from about shoulder up.

Godzilla vs Destroyer -- Very nice. Big for a Shogakukan DT book at 80 pages. Lots of good making-of stuff.

Rebirth of Mothra -- Just okay. 64 pages, only for 7 making-of material.

Yamato Takeru
-- Maybe not the best of these kind of books, just because there's so much in that movie to cover but only 64 pages. However there are a ton of making-of pics and lots of very interesting concept art too. Definitely glad I got it.

All of a sudden people are getting shipments in. What gives? :)

I just got 3 Marmit Superfest 2005 exclusives, all monster Heaven:

Gigan 2005: Awesomely cool. Molded in black with gold and silver highlighting, the figure is quite tall, somewhere between 10 and 11 inches. While the paint scheme isn't the same as in the film (which I know is a turnoff for some, the mold is a LEAST as good as Bandai's, maybe better.

Godzilla 2005
Nice sculpt and paint. I think the head sculpt is better than Bandai's at least. This one and the below '62 will please those of you who keep whining about Marmit's "shiny" paint schemes: both are done in flat, non-glossy colors.

Godzilla '62
This is something like my 6th MH Goji '62, and I still love the toy. Like the G '05 it's molded in a more pliable vinyl, and is painted witha flat scheme and on a flat vinyl. I wonder if the change to duller tones accounts for what I think is a lessening of vinyl quality.

I also got, though I doubt they're as interesting to people, two gashapon display cards: Godzilla Chronicle 2005 and the one for this '96 pencil toppers release:

which has a great painting on it.

Got the Bandai Space Godzilla of EBAY yesterday as well as trying a poster frame store, they seem like great frames...UV protected glass, acid free backing, etc, not a bad price. And while not a toy toy I finally bought a new digital camera (Kodak 7630) for taking toy pics and crap :) My old cam was 800K pixels...very advanced :D Here's a quick pic I just took, everything was on auto, looks nice I think and should take nice pics in proper light, etc http://img115.echo.cx/img115/2849/00000675ks.jpg I recently bought a light tent for taking such photos, hope to have it soon.

Yes my room is a mess and everything needs dusting  I'm in the process of packing for a move to a new home soon.

Man, every time I see the black CCP Hedorah, I fall in love again. There's just something about that dynamic look of the sludge. A shame it's a pain to get, not to mention expensive.

Kinda going back to the topic of Marmits, what the heck happened to the standard black version of Hedorah 2005? The only one I've seen recently is the freaky day-glo version (though I still kinda like it).

Yeah, no damaged eye again, didn't notice until you said it. Still a nice figure though. Here's a couple of quick pics, just click for a larger version:
