Jurassic Park used ILM for it's visual effects. Spider-Man only had the limited resources of John Dykstra. Dykstra is good but he can't compare to ILM.

Taku, have you seen the production art for the Daily Planet building? Looks pretty cool. Singer's also been gracious enough to show us the offices of the Planet as well. Looks very good. The whole movie seems to be taking on an art-deco look like the old Fleisher Superman cartoon.
