Pyras, wouldn't it be interesting if a plot shrouds around exactly what would happen if just one of the guardians was left? I wonder if it would disrupt a sense of balance in the Gamera universe.
I consider this a daring mood. Obviously, my Kaiju-fan-ness demands a sequel, just to see what happens; but truthfully, I don't think Gamera 3 needs a sequel. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy one. If the screenplay is incredible, the new director performs well, and the human drama captures the goodness seen previously, I think G4 will prove to be able to hold its own.
Still not going to be easy.
But I am hoping we see Barugon for a change. In the Heisei Gamera trilogy, currently there are 2 original monsters and 1 re-used. (Legion and Iris - Gyaos.) There is a lot of potential in that critter. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to use him again.
