Back in the 60's was when I started. In Chicago there was UHF channel 32 and for one solid week they broadcast G V the sea monster. Then there was an occasional one on the channel 7 movie in the afernoon. Channel 32 though was where I first saw Ghidorah, and G v the thing. On channel 7 got to later see G v KK, Frankenstien CTW, Dogorah, KIng Kong etc. At the drve in 1967-1970 I got to see DAM, WOG, KKE, MZ, Dracula has risen from the grave, Taste the blod of dracula, Equinox etc....and then on chnnel 9 came Creature Features! That is where I really got to finally see ALLL the Universals. Also G54, Rodan ...and soon there was the original Screaming Yellow Theatre. B movies but what a feast Friday AND Saturday nights! There was also a late channel 7 movie but 7 was terrible because of all the annoying commercials. The only way back then to preserve them for later was...wither a super 8 Ken films version or you could tape the audio with a crummy handneld tape recorder. A couple of times I recorded the audio and played it along with the Ken films GTTHM and Frankie meets the Wolfman. I even had the very exciting ending of Hammer's Horror of Dracula on tape and my brother and I acted out that whole sequnce where Peter Cushing fights Christopher Lee and kills him. James Bernard music and everything!
Its true....kids today don't get it!
