GOTU--When the Gyaos attack the people on the bridge. In particular there's one close-up shot of a Gyaos flying into the camera that was the first time a kaiju movie actually scared me with surprise.

G2:AoL--When Gamera summons the earth's energy and fires the super-duper big beam and levels Legion.

G3:RoI--Building up to the final battle, there's a moment where it shows Ayani and a burst of flame travels over the screen to wipe to a shot of Gamera, then the flame wipes again to show Iris. The "flame wipe" idea is very cool...If I ever made a kaiju movie I'd soooo rip that off.

Hmm, let's see...

Gamera: Guardian of the Universe
I like the bit where Gamera and the last Gyaos are plummeting through the atmosphere. The Gyaos slices its own foot off, leaving Gamera to land on the power plant...

Gamera 2: The Advent of Legion
It's gotta be the destruction of Sendai, especially the part where it cuts to Gamera at ground zero as the pod detonates, and then the shockwave as the whole city is obliterated. I think it's one of the most haunting things I've seen in a kaiju movie - definitely sticks in your mind.

Gamera 3: The Awakening of Irys
This, I find, is the trickiest to choose from, because there's so many cool bits. I think I'll agree with CyHunter concerning the "flame wipe", there's something very anime about it.

And what's the hoo-ha about Ayana in G3 unbuttoning her shirt? I might have to watch the movie again, but I'm sure she only undoes one button...
