Finishing The MechaGodzilla Trilogy.

After watching Tokyo SOS again on DVD I was overwhelmed with a sense of sadness that Masaaki Tezuka never got a chance to make his third part to the storyline. That final scene at the end of the film was so cool! Godzilla's DNA being used in a bio-regeneration experiment. How cool! A clone Godzilla fighting the modern one with maybe MechaGodzilla thrown in as well. How awsome a film that would have been for Godzilla's 50th. Not to take anything away from Final Wars that film rocks.

I wonder if there are interested parties here in American or Japan that would aid in getting this film made? I was pondering a joint US and Japanese project with Tezuka at the helm aided by an American director produced here by Sony. I would like to use American and Japanese actors. Namely Yumiko Shaku repriseing her role as Akane Yashiro plus Shin Takuma as Tokumitsu Yuhara and Noboru Kaneko as Yoshito Chujo & Miho Yoshioka as Azusa Kisaragi from Tokyo SOS. I would also like to add in some American parts to tie in with the story arch of the MechaGodzilla crew training here in America.

I just need some backing so I can present this idea to Toho and Mr. Tezuka. Since Toho doesn't want to make another Godzilla film for ten years the bulk of this project will be made here in America.

Is anyone interested in this?

LOL is this a joke?

GMMG was the perfect ending, Godzilla, Kiryu, and The Original Godzilla's bones were put back where they belonged, that was the ending. GMK wont get a sequel and look at its ending. It's just to make you ponder and use your imagination to see what comes next. Thats it...GMMG nor GXMG will never have a sequel again, or if it does it wont be for 10 years and it probably wont even concern the events that occured in a correct order. Its over...sorry

Tezuka and Toho never planned any trilogy. Tezuka told me he considered TOKYO SOS to be the end of the story, and he wrote and directed it.

What it needs is a prequal! Heck they could go back and show how the original Godzilla's bones ended up in Tokyo Bay in the first place, ya know? Maybe set it in the 1950's... heck they could even shoot it in black and white for authenticity.

His movies where well recieved by.... fans. That is poison for Godzilla's over all future.

He really did seem to improve with GxMG. TSOS! looks beautiful but is soooo dumbed down and offers nothing new. I know it's silly of me to complain that his movies are too kiddie oriented considering that IS Godzilla's main audience, but I can only imagine if I was still a seven year old Tezuka's trio would have left me insulted. And none are exactly the Godzilla film I would show a girl on a date.^^

Well that said, GxMG, goofiness and all, actually presents a cast of characters I could not help but to care for. Imagine how much better TSOS! could had been had they kept them!
