GodzVsMechaG II Unused Scenes - Possible on DVD? (Mike S)

This is I guess more of a request to Mike S in the efforts in bringing Godzilla Vs MechaGodzilla II to DVD. Now I know that most of the recent DVD releases have only featured trailers as the only extras included, but I think the reason that was is because all the films were so old it would have cost more than it was worth to restore unused scenes, or there weren't any good prints with them.

I just got done watching my VHS import of the movie I got from eBay, man, many years ago now. It's in japanese with English subtitles. The quality is rather poor, but there are some things of interest. First of all, before the movie, there is a trailer for the film in Japanese. Second, right after the movie, are unused scenes from the movie. They are:

Action - Some accompanied by Ibufuke's music : All of these combined are just 4 mins long
- Multiple shots of Godzilla attacking the Oli refinery & explosions
- Two shots of MecaGodzilla in the base getting ready for launch. One the camera pans up to it's head where it's eyes light up, pretty cool. The second on is where it's fully raised on the platform outside just about to liftoff. It does thing weird type of Power Rangers hand motion (I can see why that one was cut)
- Godzilla destroying some power lines in country
- A country shot with MechaGodzilla flying over a green hill
- After the first battle, where MecaG shorts out and falls backwards, Godzilla shooting his ray at him causing white sparks to fly all over
- Multiple shots with of army getting in place to fight, including mazers powering up
- Multiple shots of Godzilla in Kyoto, and one cool very early production fast motion shot of Godzilla walking

Human Scenes (I have to guess at some, since these don't have subtitles) : In all these only amount to 5:50 total
- Aoki getting shown his new room by the person the commander told him to go with. As he is looking around, a fly starts flying around the room. The lutenitenant watches the fly and takes a pin of a bulliten board. When the fly lands, he does like a flick motion with his finger, and stabs the fly right center into the side of a box. Aoki stops for a second and then goes over staring in disbelieve. The man smiles, but an alarm goes off and the liutennant says it's the alarm
- They rush to the little pod thing as Aoki tries to get dressed. We see them riding the pod up to the control station. Aoki tries to change, but he turns away with the lady there. I think he says to the commander he can't change with the lady there, but the commander either says it's okay because she's a robot, or from the United States Air Force. Aoki tries to play with her hair and she elbows him in the gut.
- They arrive in the control station and take their places. Aoki has that big strategy book and rushes to his station. They then spot Godzilla and go into battle with him. Aoki wonders what's going on. King Ghidorah and Mothra then come into the battle. Godzilla strikes them with his ray, but they can't escape. The cockpit lurches all over the place. Aoki pretty much has a heart attack. The computer screen then says "Damage Level 10, This Ship Has Been Destroyed, There Are Not Survivors", (this would have been poetic justice if it would have been in the film cause you see this again after MechaG is destroyed). The commander and liutennant laugh
- Aoki is seen sleeping in his bed when water gets thrown on him. He yells and jumps up. We see the commander with a bucket
- We see Miki sleeping in her bed (o baby looking as hot as ever). She opens her eyes, and then say something in Japanese, she looks happy though
- Scene of a G-Force meeting, looks like early in the movie
- When Aoiki calls miss Ah that he 'forgot' he had the sample of plant in his pocket, there is an extended scene. After Aoiki hangs up, the liutennant comes to him and ask what the plant his, he tells him what it is, and then shows the liutennant a picture of Ms Ah, not sure what his response was.
- Scene of the main characters in the lab after the first Godz Vs MechaG fight watching a news report of the battle. Aoki says something like "oh boy"

Finally there is an advance Japanese trailer for Godzilla Vs SpaceGodzilla. Strangely, all the footage is from previous movies.

I'm not sure if you already know about this footage, but this is really cool stuff I would really like to have on that DVD as a fan. The unused scenes are very cool. It would be great to know when exactly their spot would have been in the movie. I guess my question is, is this stuff known about at Sony, are their any chances of this being included, and if not, can it? Thanks very much for any feedback you have Mike. This is one of my favorite G-movies of all time so I am excited it's finally getting the attention it deserves.

I love the deleted scenes.. we need an "extended edition" of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 1993.

We're not getting any extras on the Feb. disc, so I'd recommend those with the deleted scenes on VHS hold on to them (I burned mine to DVD, it feels good to clean out so many bootleg tapes and replace them with Sony's gorgeous DVDs!!).
