There is already a region 1 version of Gigantis the Fire Monster produced by a friend of mine, Mr. Lobo, for the late night TV series Cinema Insomnia. It has comedy skits inserted at the comercial breaks, but none over the actual film like Mystery Science does. The film is in tact though and fun to watch with classic trailers and old ads like the one for the Shogun Warrior Godzilla. Both this DVD and the Japanese region 2 are for sale online at My Kaiju Store. The Gigantis DVD is $15.99 and is on my second Godzilla page for those who are interested.

He runs a nationaly syndicated TV show. And the DVD is of an episode of his show. He's a late night horror host like Elvira without the cleavage. Since he made it as an episode of a TV program I wouldn't consider it a bootleg. You may, but it's not a copy of another DVD.

Those who are interested can view some screen grabs at

As the film is not in the public domain, and he has not licensed the film from Toho or Classic Media to use it on his show, it's a bootleg.

They are still taking orders for those Final Box Sets. They won't be released until april though. Order one fast if you have the cash. They are limited editions.

Has anyone gotten their DVD yet in the mail. I want to hear what someone else thinks of it. I've had mine for a year and I must have watched it 50 times or so.
