Sorry, I just never got into the whole Ultraman thing. I like most of the 1960s movies, but I don't like MZ or the island movies that much.

You don't have to "get into" it, you just have to WATCH it -- the more you watch, the more you learn about the genre as a whole -- these films don't exist in a vacuum. MZ, SVSSM and SOG have little to do with watching or enjoying ULTRAMAN.

I love Jet Jaguar. If Jet,the 2 scientists,and the little kid had a weekly sitcom,I would SO watch it. Why? He programs himself to grow IN SOME WAY. They couldn't even be bothered to make something,anything,up,he just grows. But it's ok,I love the sheer implausibility,that's why it's great.

That poster (which I would love to have) was obviously inspired by kino's 76 release. Turns out Megalon would be way more fun, but I have to think Dino for releasing that piece of crap kino movie. Just a good use of then current buzz- just like US releasers always did for films.
