Sean if you have seen any film with Godzilla and KG you would know Godzilla's flame/ray/beam/whatever you want to call it does NOTHING TO KG AT ALL (Showa reference). In fact in Monster Zero, KG takes a direct hit of Godzilla's beam and KG just shrugs it off. So the idea of a head of KG catching fire is kind of funny.

For your information i have seen MZ and if you remember that was the shortest battle Ghidorah has ever lost. Remember how fast he retreated in that battle. All he took in that battle was a couple of blasts off Godzillas breath, a boulder from Rodan and a flying kick from Godzilla. And remember in DAM when Ghidorah tried to retreat but Godzilla grabbed him, blasted him with his breath, that has close to setting Ghidorah on fire and it did effect him, it forced him to land and Ghidorah almost fell when he landed.
