I have both a pan and scan of Godzilla 1985 and the Letterbox Japanese version on VCD, subtitled in Cantonese but with no English. I much rather prefer the Japanese version over the dubbed even if I have no clue what they're all saying. And the Japanese Indiana Jones guy that is the comic relief is not so irritating with the actor's original voice spouting out his lines in his native language as compared to the dubbed voice. That is the problem I have with dubs. They seem to find the most irritating sounding voice actors for ancilliary characters and kids. This dictatum even extends to some of the main characters as well.
