I'll probably end up getting figures and the art book.

The new poster gives the clearest view of the dorsal fins to date...and I'm still not digging them too much. The rest of poster looks pretty cool though...hopefully they won't show too many shots of those awful Brontosaurus feet in future posters or the film itself (seriously, what were they thinking? :x I can live with the lackluster fins, but those feet...good God).

I'm a believer in that the feet will look much better in motion. Not sure how anyone can dislike the fins....

They look so sturdy and attached and sharp, like if he wanted to Godzilla could impale a MUTO on them.

Some people just will not like certain aspects of a design, it's just what this fandom is.

The way I see it, from a basic perspective, they took one of the most liked iterations of Godzilla, the Heisei version, slimmed down the thunder thighs while keeping him powerful looking.

The skin texture is much more like tree bark than even the Toho versions....sure there are other visual surfaces we've yet to see, but the back in that poster looks like a very durable skin.

The head is new but still represents the evolution of Godzilla. People complaining about the teeth, well there have been some version that had smaller teeth before, and the reality is while big ole chompers are nice, sometimes they can actually look a little dopey.

Dorsal plates, one of the bigger concerns I feel was addressed properly. They struck a balance within all all series, 3 proper rows, they have a size more inline with Heisei or Showa while having a spiky cragginess about them that is a bit Millennium without being too spiky. Plus they actually look like they are connected to the creature's spine or are just part of the spine.

Feet.....get over it, they are what they are and honestly I think they look fine and will serve the purpose and you probably will not see them too much anyway. Seriously, his feet being such a huge topic really does make me scratch my head simply because it's feet.....again I digress, if Godzilla fans saw the soles of his feet they would debate about that too.

In the end it's a perfect Godzilla design....because some will love it, some will hate it and MANY will argue over the bits they like and hate.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!

If the feet look similar to this, I don't see what the fuss is all about. It's not a huge departure from G2K or even the the original Goji (which had a fourth toe sticking out from the rest). The new design looks like a good combination of previous designs with a few new twists. I'm sure there are things we all would change but overall it's a good design recognizable as Godzilla.

I hope the entire design is like that...except in black. BTW Black isn't a color.

I am most definitely getting the 31" Jakks Pacific figure, 12" NECA figure and the prequel comic as well. I hope that both of the MUTOs get figures that are larger than the Destruction Pack ones. I'm also hoping for a game to come out on Xbox Arcade, like Pacific Rim except with a destruction mode and other stuff.

^Well, there were 3 Godzilla fighting games on consoles in the 2000's. Hopefully someone steps up to the plate and releases one more on the heels of the (hopeful) success of the new movie.
