Round II has started. Godzilla is up against Vampire Academy, and will thus inevitably be crushed under a flood tide of Brazilian teenagers, but let's at least try to put on a decent show.

Godzilla is getting REAMED right now by a movie I've never heard of...

Days of Future Past is getting clobbered by another film I've never heard of.

Interstellar is getting ruined by Divergent.

Unsurprising, really. Disappointing, but unsurprising. Given that twitter-addicted Brazilian teenagers are going to be the primary voting bloc for this thing, Godzilla doesn't really have the numbers to compete, in spite of our rabid devotion. We certainly don't have the time, I would wager, to keep hammering the "vote button" 24/7. Ah well.

pretty sure MTV isn't the target audience for sci-fi spectacles. Maybe if this was the 1990's, but MTV isn't going to give you the right outlook on this movie.

Vampire Academy? Written by John Mayer and Katy Perry? I doubt that is going make even close to Twilight money.

Sorry, but if it turns out that this is like Monsters, where it's nothing but "human drama" and Godzilla is barely seen, this will tank.

You guys DO realize the MTV Generation is in their 40s now, right? :|

The pre-teens and most teenage girls nowadays are from generation after the Millennials (people born post 1996), which actually doesn't have a real name yet (I'm in favor of "Twitter Generation" or "Dubstep Generation").

Hey Joshua, I read your paper and I am very disappointed with your grammar. You really need to work on this. It's imperative to actually use punctuation, and to cut down on redundancy. It's imperative, as in order to get your point of view across, you need to have clear, concise language skills. Random capitalizations and run on sentences muddle you're statement and sound unprofessional. You also need to use proper sentence structure. "I can fair to say" is not how English works. You need to re-read before submitting your work to be graded. As for the subject matter itself. You do not list any sources, so sweeping claims that speak for the whole fandom kind of fall flat, any evidence you do posit is very circumstantial and seems to be coming from a more personal view than any basis of fact. When writing a persuasive essay, you need to rely and hard facts to sell your opinion, and you need for it to speak outside of the range of Godzilla fans if you want more support. Who is this article for? I'm sorry Joshua, but I have to give you a 62% on this. I know you're better than this. I will give you an opportunity to make this up after school, Thursday of next week. See you then!

This fan art posted on TK is great. It gets me so pumped for some reason. Also, if that is an accurate representation of G's feet, I love them. They just look massive and nothing can survive under them.

The fan art is pretty slick. I didn't like the feet at first but since I've seen better renderings of them now they don't bother me in the least.

Very encouraging news. It would be a really sweet treat to see some honest-to-goodness tooth & nail knock down, throwdown battles instead of beam wars and/or feinting charges with no real payoff. Of course, now that the creatures are full CGI, there are no longer worries about damage to rubber monster suits from too much physical interaction. And that's what i really want to see, a feral Godzilla who's just balls to the wall violent, with battles that are, as the article says, like to two huge Grizzly bears biting, clawing and ripping the crap out of each another. That would be jaw-droppingly awesome to see on the big screen! WOOT!

I'm pretty sure this was talked about a little bit on one of these forums before, but I heard a really sweet idea regarding his roar. Wouldn't it be cool if whenever he roars, the power behind it breaks a lot of the nearby windows on the skyscrapers? I doubt this is going to be in the film, but it would still be pretty cool to see. Thoughts?
