Not for a moment do I think that Critereon seriously considered canceling their GODZILLA release because of the fans "bellyaching". That must be an exaggeration.
GODZILLA is a historically important film that is more than deserving of the Critereon treatment. I'm sure Critereon's Toho titles sell well enough, which may have had a part in them going to all that trouble to to sub-license GOJIRA/GODZILLA KOTM in the first place. I sincerely doubt a couple of bitchy fans on an internet forum would make them second guess the entire project. I'm sorry, but that has to be a croc of sh*t.
Considering MB deleted somebody off of their official Facebook page for simply asking when they can expect to see the disk in retail is a testament to how lame the people running that page are (No disrespect to those working on these disks, though it's likely they're not even the same person). I mean, seriously? It's not like the guy was like "OMFG, THIS DISK IS SUCH ASS YOU GUYS; YOU SUCK, HEEERP". It wouldn't surprise me if it was true in regards to MB, but Critereon? Nahhh.
As for Mr. Galbraith's reply, it was only his tone that I thought needed some serious work. If anything, I agree with him completely.
