MegaHouse, a division of Bandai Namco Group, has provided SciFi Japan with information and giant, high res photos of their upcoming deluxe Petitrama figure diorama based on the 2016 Toho film SHIN GODZILLA (シン・ゴジラ, Shin Gojira,). The Petitrama series, which takes its name from combining the words “petit” (meaning “small”) and “diorama,” offers dioramas that, despite their smaller scale, are meticulously crafted with a focus on “presentation” and “detailed modeling” at a size that’s just right for any space, making them a joy to collect.
Godzilla joined the Petitrama series in December 2025 with the GODZILLA MINUS ONE Petitrama EX (ゴジラ-1.0プチラマEX, Gojira Mainasu Wan Puchirama EX). The 3-piece set was a hit with fans and collectors, and convinced MegaHouse to launch an ongoing series of dioramas that would recreate a carefully curated selection of iconic scenes from the Godzilla movies. The first wave, Petitrama EX Godzilla 01 (プチラマEX ゴジラ01, Puchirama EX Gojira 01), with dioramas of Godzilla (1995), King Ghidorah (1991), and Godzilla (2016), will go on sale next month.
For their third Petitrama Godzilla release, MegaHouse once again turned to Godzilla (2016) from SHIN GODZILLA, a movie that was a tremendous commercial and critical smash upon its debut and which remains popular to this day both in Japan and abroad. This will be “Petitrama DX” figure diorama that features a stunning design with Godzilla’s massive tail—making it the largest in the series to date.
While a singular piece, the DX Godzilla (2016) does maintain the Petitrama Godzilla format by including three figures. In addition to the gigantic 4th Form in Godzilla's evolution, the diroama also comes with the smaller crawling 2nd Form and bipedal 3rd Form seen when the monster first comes ashore in the film. Every detail of the three versions of Godzilla is faithfully rendered, while the flames spewing from Godzilla’s mouth are recreated in a style reminiscent of traditional Japanese ukiyo-e prints.
Petitrama DX Godzilla (2016) is scheduled for release in Japan in February 2027 and is now up for preorders from Premium Bandai, Godzilla Store Japan, and multiple retailers. Full North America release details TBA, though the item is looking at a Spring 2027 release and is now up for preorders from some retailers including Big Bad Toy Store and Sideshow.

About MegaHouse
MegaHouse is a major Japanese toy manufacturer and BANDAI Group company. Originally founded in 1962 as Kaken, the company was purchased by BANDAI and merged with BANDAI subsidiaries Angel and B-AI in 1997 to become MegaHouse.
The origin of the company name is a combination of the acronym Mega, Make (produce) Enjoy (enjoy) Global (worldwide) Ability (talent), and House, which likens the company to a family community. And, as the word mega itself means “huge,” MegaHouse also reflects the company’s philosophy to provide dreams to our customers through its imagination and adventurous spirit.
