HIDIVE announced today that it has acquired streaming rights to independently produced, experimental horror anime ARAGNE: SIGN OF VERMILLION (アラーニェの虫籠, Arānye no Mushiko, 2018) for audiences in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America and Scandinavian countries. The film will begin streaming on HIDIVE Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 17:00 UTC.

Rin’s new apartment building is a far cry from the sunny, idyllic photos from the rental brochure. And instead of offering sanctuary from a dangerous world outside, it oozes decay and dread. Residents exhibit unsettling, peculiar qualities and grotesque eruptions. Sinister forces seem to lie around every corner, and if Rin wants to survive, she will have to discover the terrifying truth — one she has kept buried within…

ARAGNE: SIGN OF VERMILLION is written, directed and produced entirely by Saku Sakamoto (3D digital effects, GHOST IN THE SHELL 2: INNOCENCE) after a successful Kickstarter-based crowdfunding campaign. ARAGNE: SIGN OF VERMILLION stars Kana Hanazawa (AKAME GA KILL!) as Rin, Yousuke Itou (SHIROKUMA CAFE) as Tokiyo, Fukujuro Katayama (PING PONG the Animation) as Saion and Shogo Batori (RESTAURANT TO ANOTHER WORLD) as Mikaya.
