Toho has provided information and images from the new anime film, CRAYON SHINCHAN THE MOVIE: SUPER HOT! THE SPICY KASUKABE DANCERS (映画クレヨンしんちゃん 超華麗!灼熱のカスカベダンサーズ, Eiga Kureyon Shinchan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dansāzu), opening in Japan on August 8th.

The movie is the 33rd feature film for the popular Crayon Shinchan franchise created by Yoshito Usui, which follows the comedic misadventures of Shinnosuke "Shinchan" Nohara, a mischievous five-year-old who often says inappropriate things and cannot resist pretty ladies, regardless of their age. Shinchan`s family includes his baby sister Himawari, their mother Misae who gets hysterical whenever her two kids are misbehaving in public, dad Hiroshi, an average office worker who has smelly feet, and their pet dog Shiro. The manga has been serialized in Monthly Manga Action since 1990 with the anime TV adaptation premiering on TV Asahi in 1992. The first movie, CRAYON SHINCHAN: ACTION MASK VS. LEOTARD DEVIL (クレヨンしんちゃん アクション仮面VSハイグレ魔王, Kureyon Shinchan: Akushon Kamen tai Haigure Maō), was released in 1993. Crayon Shinchan has remained popular with audiences of all ages, with Toho and TV Asahi reporting that  the fully CG-animated NEW DIMENSION! CRAYON SHINCHAN THE MOVIE: GREAT PSYCHOKINETIC BATTLE ~ FLYING HAND-ROLLED SUSHI ~ (しん次元!クレヨンしんちゃんTHE MOVIE 超能力大決戦 ~とべとべ手巻き寿司~, Shin Jigen! Kureyon Shinchan THE MOVIE Chō Nōryoku Daikessen ~ Tobetobe Temakizushi ~, 2023),  exceeded 2.47 billion yen in box office revenue, setting a new record for the series.

Set in India, SUPER HOT! THE SPICY KASUKABE DANCERS  is the "first dance entertainment movie" in the series. The movie reunites director Masakazu Hashimoto and screenwriter Kimiko Ueno, who previously collaborated on CRAYON SHINCHAN THE MOVIE: DANGEROUS HONEYMOON -THE LOST DADDY- (映画クレヨンしんちゃん 新婚旅行ハリケーン ~失われたひろし~, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shinkon Ryoko Hurricane Ushinawareta Hiroshi, 2019) and CRAYON SHIN-CHAN THE MOVIE: THE TORNADO LEGEND OF NINJA MONONOKE (クレヨンしんちゃん もののけニンジャ珍風伝, Eiga Kureyon Shinchan Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden, 2022).
