I had fun with this, but understand the criticisms. It’s way too lightweight to rank with Spielberg’s best, and has none of the analog beauty of his 80s films. It was enjoyable, but very slight, and wasted almost all of its potential for satire or social commentary in favor of empty nostalgia.
