Shin Godzilla NON-SPOILER news and info

Funi's twitter announcing the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin is showing Shin until 12/29.

I wouldn't be surprised if more alamo's show this from time to time. I know the one near me has held several additional Attack on Titan screenings since its original theatrical run.

Whoa, that's news to me. The Mason Road location is much closer to me, but Vintage Park was so much nicer we'd take the trouble to make the drive on occasion.

But googling, looks like it's not such terrible news after all... they sold the vintage park theater to another chain, but are opening FOUR new locations around Houston over the next few years. The first is going to be in Sugar Land, which while farther than mason road, is still closer than vintage park was.

Shin Godzilla will be screening at the Frightfest horror movie festival in Glasgow on 24th February. They're billing this as the European premiere.

Their listing ends with the acknowledgement, "Thanks to Altitude Films." I guess that's the UK distributor for the movie.

Dropping the pound into the toilet is one thing, but if that vote messed up our only chance of getting a new Godzilla film since the 90's then I say it really is time to be done with this whole "democracy" thing and just restart everything from scratch!

I wonder if the unprecedented success of Shin might impede the developement of further movies? I mean, they might have to deal with popular critical and fan pressure to wait until Anno is available again, to direct or at least have some participation.
