Also, a lot of tokusatsu references.

Watching the clip strikes me as something modern being made to look older. The visuals are look like something older and not quite as well preserved but the audio sounds too clean; there's no sort of hissing or popping that one might expect to hear.

I've seen the film enough times to know that's an accurate translation of the dialog in that scene. Maybe it's some sort of student project?

That is a thing of beauty. Love they did the 180 turn/ascend straight from the Mazinger Z opening sequence. I want this series so much :D
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

I was able to get a copy of the PAL VHS for Ebirah Horror of the deep with the rarely seen English title card. Enjoy it while you can. not sure if this will get flagged or not
