The best translation error... err, "oversight" is literally translating the Japanese titles instead of offering the official English titles. I loved being reminded that The Mysterians is actually "Earth Defense Force" !

^ There are two instances in Kameba's 2003 entry on page 161 in which they should have used direct translations of the Japanese movie titles, because the ones they used instead messed up the context of the translated sentences!

"Kamoebas appears in “Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.” (2003) as the fourth monster without a name in the title."

"“Yog, The Monster From Space” (1970), as the title suggests, features Gezora and Ganimes in addition to Kamoebas."

Been meaning to pick this up for over a year, but the lackluster translation has had me waiting on a good deal. Today I got a used but prestine copy at a local shop for $10!

For $10 it's an absolute steal! The translation errors are definitely irksome, but overall it's still a fantastic book that you're buying mainly for the artwork anyway, and that's absolutely A+ regardless of a few errors in the text.
