What vibe would you like to see in the adaptation. I am kind of feeling Edgar Wright/Scott Pilgrim... but i think that for a lot of properties

Well, my library had this comic, so I checked it out and read it today. There isn't a lot of monster action, but what is shown is very impressive; the giants serve as a powerful metaphor for the protagonist. It's an emotionally charged story with wonderful atmosphere. It's a sad story, but a spunky one as well, and an excellent read overall.
I definitely look forward to seeing the big screen adaptation - although I think an animated film would do the story (and its terrific art style) a whole lot more justice than a live-action film.

Part of me still feels like this story could be better serviced through animation, but I look forward to it regardless. I definitely recommend reading the graphic novel for those who haven't yet.
