Kinda random that somebody like Discotek (who seems to love older stuff) hasn't picked up Tetsujin 28.
Speaking of giant robots, I saw a few episodes of Johnny Sokko and His Giant Robot (AKA Giant Robo) on a weird sci-fi channel when I went to San Antonio for the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble.

Also been watching a show with robots in it, Infinite Stratos (the first 6 episodes).

Finished Infinite Stratos.
Lots of attractive ladies, cool robots, and decent amounts of action.

Will be watching Infinite Stratos 2 soon.

I forgot to mention purchasing the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Blu-Ray at a local Half Price Books, it was under $18.

Also while watching some of the Toonami stuff (just seeing what Dragon Ball Super was like) they showed a promo for Outlaw Star is coming back.
Wonder since it's on Adult Swim this time, if they will show the infamous hot springs episode...which was cut the first time they showed in on Toonami.

Went through Infinite Stratos 2 as well, they of course add 2 more ladies to the mix.
Still feels a bit unfinished, and I think they might do a 3rd season soon.

Bought the Code Geass Akito the Exiled thing, and watched the first Blu-Ray (4 episodes).
Lots of cool mecha action, with some political things going on. Still has attractive ladies in the buff sometimes.
Certain characters from Code Geass show up, and they are still cool.

Finished Little Witch Acadamia (dub) on Netflix, I really liked it.
Thought it was very cute, charming, and fun. Hopefully they make more of it soon, and hopefully they release the series & movies on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Sound! Euphonium was, in a word, excellent. In other words, KyoAni at their A-game is a force to be reckoned with in the medium - their nuance in character acting, their precision in comedic timing, and their skill at selling a story's biggest moments with perfect form. I was never in band, but the tension, the drama, the drive of the characters in Sound! Euphonium feels incredibly real; and that such a beautiful, heartfelt story was conveyed through two-dimensional drawings is truly awesome. I said this before, but shows like these are what really hooked me when I started watching anime, and they're what invigorate me the most about the medium still.

In more current show news, I almost completely forgot about The Reflection - a Japanese/Chinese/Stan Lee collaboration show about a world of awakening super-powered individuals (kind of like X-Men). Although the show's actual animation is somewhat limited, I enjoy the pulp comic aesthetic of the show, and I don't mind the somewhat slow pace of the plot; there's a steady world-building story developing. It's pretty neat; I say it's worth checking out for something more unique.
I was also recommended to start watching Tsuredure Children - a short vignette series about, essentially, all the rom-com couples you can imagine actually confessing (or trying their hardest) and exploiting the different couple dynamics from there. It's quite funny and cute; a pleasant watch overall.

Finished Akito, it was good.

Ripped through Seven Deadly Sins via Netflix.
It was pretty good.
Just a word of caution, it says "season 2" on 4 episodes, but that's just an OVA.
Season 2 is coming sometime this fall in Japan (where it was a huge hit).

Also watched Berserk movies 2 & 3 (already saw the first one).
Might have to check out the new series when it gets dubbed, since apparently it does follow up on the story.
At least these movies went a bit further than the anime series did, that ends rather abruptly.

The summer season is over. My Hero Academia ended on a strong note, ready to kick into high gear again when season 3 arrives (hopefully fairly soon). The Reflection isn't quite over yet; it's been an interesting show, but unfortunately the 12-episode constraint looks like it might hurt the show in the final stretch. Tsuredure Children was very cute and heartfelt; I hope another season happens, because these kids could easily go for another cour.
Several new shows I'm interested in are starting now, but before I start on those I'll be trying to finish a couple others I'm still working on - I've still been watching Lupin the IIIrd Part 2 pretty regularly, and I'm halfway through the first season of Mushi-Shi as well. I also really want to start Made in Abyss. I've heard high praise for that one.
Crunchyroll surprised me recently by adding The Tatami Galaxy to their queue - Apparently Funimation had it licensed all this time?? - so I've been watching that too, and just finished it tonight. The Tatami Galaxy is a great show, with rather brilliant structure to its story and a creative set of art/animation styles. I can't recommend this quirky show enough.

Witch Hunter Robin (rewatch) since it's getting near that spooky time of year, this seemed appropriate.
I also watched the 12 hand picked episodes of the 1984 Voltron series (hand picked by the staff of the Voltron Legendary Defender show which I binged all of what there is so far).

Some new show on Netflix ID-0 I think.
Something about mining a rare mineral in space.
Kinda a mecha show meets space pirates.
The main girl is a student that gets caught up in a big mess.
She is cute at least.
Only watched the first episode (will check out more later).

Well instead of that I binged Gotham (3 seasons).
Then started on Tiger & Bunny, which is good.
Up to episode 6 (dub) via Netflix.

Ripped through the rest of Tiger & Bunny.
It was a good show.

Watched disc 2 of Witch Hunter Robin.
I still say for a 15 year old, Robin is rather nicely developed...especially since she's Japanese?

Finished Witch Hunter Robin, just as good as the first time I watched it.

BTW the Right Stuf Anime sale is gonna start on Nov. 20.
If interested (if you visit GameFAQs) I will be doing a topic covering the DVD/Blu-Ray part of the sale (or at least trying to).

I caught up with another show from this past season, titled Made in Abyss. Amazon's Anime Strike channel has been streaming it, and despite fandom complaints about Amazon, the show itself has become something of a sleeper hit.
...And for good reason. MiA is an excellent production with a compelling cast of characters and fascinating worldbuilding. It also doesn't pull its punches: a couple of the very last episodes had me left me physically shaken. The titular abyss the characters explore is as dangerous as it is mysterious. I definitely recommend checking this title out, as long as you have a strong stomach for those last few episodes.

Bought a Blu-Ray copy of the complete version of Soul Eater at Half Price Books.
They were having their coupon week (ends today), and I used a 40% off coupon to make the price $17.99 (marked at $29.99).

Watched up to disc 4 of Soul Eater, still good (the dub is really good).
Also watched the first half of Fate/Apocrypha (dubbed on Netflix). Seems more interesting & action packed than the other shows (plus a lot less annoying Shiro).

^ I thought Soul Eater was quite good, for at least the first half. Later it gets kind of mediocre (which I guess is what happens when one catches up to the source material and has to make do).

With Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond currently airing, I decided to revisit the first season, as well as Kyousougiga, another show by the same director. Both titles are still loads of fun, exploding with energy and heart. Neither show slows down much, so following everything about the plot can be hard the first time through; but it's worth it for the sheer ride both shows are.
Now to catch up on Beyond...

In other catch-up news, I've started Girls' Last Tour and The Ancient Magus' Bride from this season, and am working my way up to current episodes. Girls' Last Tour is a curious title: a post-apocalyptic road tale that's surprisingly cute (if somewhat melancholy) and pleasantly reflective. It's a good program to relax to, for the most part. The Ancient Magus' Bride is shaping up to be pretty heartwarming, too, but not without its moments of intensity. This is a curious take on a "beauty and the beast" setup, with tons of world-building and an intriguing main cast. It's quite good so far and I'm looking forward to seeing were it goes.
I still need to start Mr. Osomatsu season 2 and Kino's Journey.

I just finished Gatchaman Crowds Insight, the sequel to Gatchaman Crowds, which I was watching earlier this year. The first season was a good show, overall, with some interesting commentary on heroes and current societal trends; but Insight takes all the elements and does them even better, with an even more poignant message about society. Much like the first season, there's a bait-and-switch method to the antagonist(s) of the story, which gets even more twisted here when the real enemy is one harder to "defeat" than any other before. Hajime is as lovable and insightful (ha,ha) as ever; and joining the Gatchamen is newcomer Tsubasa, who contrasts Hajime remarkably. Where Hajime can appear appear ridiculously upbeat and savvy, Tsubasa can be shockingly naive and impulsive. Watching her character over the course of the show is equal parts frustrating and rewarding - but ultimately rewarding.
I thought Gatchaman Crowds was a good show worth watching after the first season; after Insight, I believe it is a great show that should be watched. I'm seriously impressed with this one, and would recommend it highly.

I'm also finishing up season two of Sound! Euphonium, and finally, finally watching two other major Kyoto Animation titles: K-On! and Hyouka. Euphonium isn't quite as strong as the first season, but it's still a very good show overall. The voice acting is especially good in this show, amidst the consistently excellent art & animation. K-On! is pretty cute and silly so far, and Hyouka is quite intriguing in an oddly pleasant way. I must say, it's interesting watching these three titles concurrently. All three have impressive production values (as expected of KyoAni), and are unmistakably products of the studio with their iconic moe-ish designs; yet each show looks and feels quite different from the other. It's neat to see how KyoAni continues to shape their style for each new show, polishing their products and modifying where appropriate to fit the story best. KyoAni is just a great studio.

There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Almost done with Soul Eater.
I bought a copy of the Squid Girl re-release (both seasons) at work.
Fry's is doing that 50% off Section 23 thing until the end of December.
Which could be a better discount than even Sentai themselves (doing a sale online).

Haven't pulled the trigger on my yearly Right Stuf order, kinda waiting to see if anything worth buying will show up soon.
So far I have School Rumble (both SAVE sets), and Girls Und Panzer The Real Anzio Battle in my cart.

Finally finished Soul Eater, has a decent ending despite straying from the manga.

Got my stuff from Right Stuf, and watched a couple of them.

First was Black Butler Book of Murder. Fun story & characters.
Kinda wonder if the whole thing was set up by Ciel just to get the author he liked to write more stories.
Which of course he turns out to be an extremely famous author...
BTW when is that Book of Atlantic thing coming out?
Also is the live-action Black Butler movie good (also did Funimation use the dub voices from the anime)?

Then we had Girls Und Panzer The Real Anzio Battle. A kinda short OVA mostly focused on getting to know the "Italian" team.

After that I watched The LEGO Batman Movie, which was still pretty fun.

Then I started on School Rumble, but wasn't really in the mood for that much goofiness.
So I switched to The Flying Witch (which I just bought today since the Fry's sale is ending soon).
So far (4 episodes) it's cute, fun, and charming.
Kinda borrows a bit from Kiki's Delivery Service with the whole Witch goes out into the world thing.
Of course while Kiki was cute in her own way, this girl is a bit older and rather nice looking.
The little sister of the guy she's staying with (a distant cousin) is cute as heck.
Of course there's also a black cat involved (though it doesn't talk).

Flying Witch is extremely charming - an example of slice of life at its finest.

I caught up with the finale of Girls' Last Tour the other day. Watching this show was kind of a weird experience: equal parts melancholy and cute. The last episode hits the emotions in the best way, leaving a bittersweet reflection on the world, but an optimistic outlook for the titular girls. It's a remarkable show, overall.

GoShogun---This has to be one of the oddest Super Robot Series I've ever seen. For those that assume they all have a conventional-generic "monster-of-the-week" theme, this not only deviates, it shatters all of that. I knew of its loose adaptation into English "macron 1", but never watched it. Much like Voltron & Robotech befor eit, macron 1 was multiple anime series all edited together, but the majority of which was taken from GoShogun. For something from the early 80's its definitely unique and worth a watch. Also it has the unique distinction of being one of the few Super Robot series to have a follow up film, that doesn't even include the robot, but is just about the main characters. I think Giant Robo had a spinoff that did the same, but it doesn't happen often, for good reason.
