It's not the kind of show i can rightly recommend to anyone, but I just finished season 1 of Preacher. that finale was on a whole different level.

^The first season is basically a prequel to where the story of the comic starts.

Death Kappa was a hoot!

I sometimes get in the habit of picking 4-5 movies off the shelf and picking one at random to watch.
Sometimes I pick the first movie (after carefully shuffling the discs and counting to a certain number), and sometime I pick the last one left.

Anyhow, I watched these ones recently (with 2 more to go).

Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon: such a fun movie, though Sho-Nuff easily steals the show.
The Adventures of Barron Munchausen: underrated fantasy movie, with a great cast.
Willow: Another great fantasy movie with a very different story, plus good performances.

I also saw Independence Day Resurgence at the cheap theater.
I wasn't really expecting much, but it was OK.
No where as fun or cool as the original (the White House model getting blown up is still way cooler looking than very obvious CGI buildings falling from the sky), but Brent Spiner was pretty funny.

^Munchausen is a great Terry Gilliam flick!

Been making my way through some old favorites I've recently got on Blu-Ray. Buster Keaton's Our Hospitality is a great, epic historical comedy that is in many ways a war- up for his ever greater, even more epic historical comedy; The General. Love the hobby horse (an early bicycle), the primitive train, and the entire final chase sequence. Also watched Throne of Blood, which I'm probably more familiar with than MacBeth at this point. The arrows are still one of the most spectacular things I've seen in film.

After 3 nights, and 4 times falling asleep during it, I FINALLY finished Rebirth of Mothra 2 yesterday. It might honestly be the worst kaiju movie ever. Yeah, I know some of the Showa Gamera movies are REALLY horrible, but just because this thing looks slightly prettier doesn't make it better. It's HORRIBLY edited, with a sleep-inducing score, a complete lack of character and an utter disdain for its entire audience. It's atrocious.

Yeah, Rebirth 2 is with Gamera the Super Monster in the worst Kaiju movies ever category.

The third movie in the DC Cinematic Universe has been released. Is it the best movie in the universe? Can that even be considered an accomplishment? Or is this mission a failure? Watch to find out.

I watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes yesterday on FX Movies On Demand for the first time. It's a good movie and fits in well as a prequel to the PotA movies. I could not shake the notion that I had effectively scene the movie's plot before, namely the Powerpuff Girls movie.

Ceasar = Mojo Jojo

Dr. William Rodman = Professor Utonium

ALZ-113 = Chemical X

Chimp is accidentally exposed to super science compound and becomes super intelligent, turns against humanity and uses super science compound to make an army of super-intelligent apes on a mission to take over the world.

The Guyver (1991 Live Action Film) - This movie is...bad, but somehow Mark Hamill was convinced to be a major character in the film. I had seen this already, but it's just not good. The action, the acting, all of it is bad. At least the sequel improves just about everything.

Captain America: Civil War

Highly enjoyable. Probably more fun than Winter Soldier even if it's not quite as good. While Age of Ultron felt like there was too much going on and everything was pulling the emphasis from everything else this film figures out it's best to have a more direct plot, and that even if you can only give a certain superhero a little screentime it's okay as long as you make it count! Spider-Man's in two scenes and he knocks it out, for instance. The Vision probably doesn't have much time either, but he's got his own inner life and arc and it's great

Civil War is easily my second favorite Marvel film to date. I'm so excited the Russos are going to be doing Infinity War because it means the series is in good hands. They also manage to get acting skills out of Scarlet that she normally can't seem to produce with anyone else.

Aladdin - It's been about five years since I last watched it and damn is this such a great movie. Everything in it works despite the message that says lying will get you your true love. Jafar doesn't really get his own character song, but he is way too badass to really need one. The animation is absolutely gorgeous, especially on Blu-Ray and the songs are all great. Not to mention of course Robin Williams' masterful personality. I can't give this anything less than a 9/10, and even that is harsh, so a 10/10.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno - Well, it wasn't the worst Seth Rogen movie I have ever seen as this one actually had some funny moments in it, especially from Justin Long. That aside, there isn't really much to this "comedy" as far as a plot is concerned and it suffers from the same tropes that every comedy movie about a couple faces. Although, there were A LOT of really disburbing sequences, especially one that was just flat out disgusting. I give it a 6/10.

Peter Pan - Not the most engaging Disney movie ever, but it does have some pretty cool sequences. Not to mention there are a few things that are done in here that would not be allowed today due to everything having to be completely PC, such as Peter and John taking drugs, Smee drinking, and Hook shooting people. I give it a 7/10.

Justin Long is flat out AWESOME in Zack and Miri. I can take or leave the rest, but Brandon Saint Randy is a gold mine.

It's not really a movie, but it isn't a TV show either, so I'm just going to put it here:

Pryde of the X-Men - This was a direct to video episode from the 80s featuring the X-Men and was voiced by the GI Joe/Transformers cast. It was pretty bad and they made Wolverine sound Australian. WTF? The plot was pretty generic and felt like it belonged to a multiparter as there was a lot crammed into that 20 minutes. On the other hand, there was a cool nostagia moment for me since this was my introduction to X-Men. Nevertheless, the glasses come off and I give it a 4/10.
