This season has been stellar so far. The revelations about The Monarch's lineage are pretty mind-blowing.

I've just had a strange thought. We now know that Jonas Venture Sr. and the Blue Morpho were close friends and shared the "swinging" lifestyle. Given the physical similarities between Rusty and The Monarch (even his wife is thinking Rusty is behind the Blue Morpho mask), is it outside the realm of possibility that the two of them are brothers

I think that was vaguely implied in the Venturestein episode last season. I have been enjoying this Blue Morpho plot a lot so far this season

Another solid episode. This season is really working for me. We got an Andy Warhol super villain complete with his own Doom Factory.

This whole season with the Blue Morpho storyline has been fantastic. This series could have easily sunk into "the same old same old" and died out, but they've kept it fresh while staying true to the underlying mythos they set up at the beginning. Getting to the end of the sixth season and I'm hoping they have a season seven in them!

Yeh, i've been pretty impressed this season. I really liked the Red Death, he was a character i could really relate to

Season six was absolutely fantastic! Totally worth the wait.

The last episode ("Red Means Stop") was great, definitely one for the ages, but it didn't really bring any resolution to this season's Blue Morpho story arc. I got the impression that it was a repeat of the situation that occurred with season five, where Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer were contractually bound to produce ten half-hours (with commercials) for the season, no more and no less, and they ended up hitting that limit before they could produce a real finale that brings the season full circle.

Last year's hourlong special ("All This and Gargantua-2") was produced as the first two episodes of season six, with production codes 601/602, but in the context of the series it really functioned as a season five finale. "Hostile Makeover" (production code 603) really was the first episode of season six, with the Venture family moving to New York.

There's still supposed to be a coming in the future. Unless Adult Swim greenlights production on a seventh season, my guess is that long-form special will come next and function as an overdue season six finale.

Turner Broadcasting, which owns Cartoon Network and thus Adult Swim, just announced their slate of returning original progams, and The Venture Bros. is among them.

No word on whether they're talking about greenlighting a seventh season or just producing that long-form special that Jackson Publick promised back in 2011. Either way, it's good news. The Venture Bros. isn't over yet!

Has anyone else here watched the seventh season? It concluded last week but I can't really say much about it without going into spoilers and I want to show some class, a little decorum...
