Good news - I just got a shipping notification from Amazon that Mecha Ghidorah is going to arrive on Wed.

Bad news - UPS lost my Gamera. He was supposed to arrive TODAY!! The tracking number just stops at 12:57am this morning saying he is in TN with a delivery time by 8PM tonight. I have no idea what is going on, but I'm not too happy as it is 9:55 right now and I still don't have him.

My shipping update is estimated for delivery on the 13th, which is good as that should put another payday in before I'm charged.

Rewatching the Gamera Trilogy, AND the Godzilla vs Gamera Deathbattle had me pining for Gamera. I'll make sure to get him sooner than later.

I got my Gamera today. He is awesome except for a small problem. I had to request a replacement from Amazon because the shell piece that covers his groin area does not stay in. Not only was the peg itself not fully cut out (there is a wave of plastic still on it from the mold), but it is loose as all hell. If I sneeze it falls off. The same goes for one of the other shell pieces on the lower left side.

Despite that, this toy rocks and I can not wait until I get a fixed one. I love the flying accessories, but most of all, I love the fireball.

I should be getting my MKG on Thursday can't wait.

I think I'm going to pass on Gamera for the time being unless I can get a really good deal on him or I come into a lot of extra money. He does look like an amazing figure though.

I want to get MKG, but my shelf is getting crowded. I'm seriously thinking of selling or trading my KG for an MKG. Since MKG is the more interesting redesign in that movie to me, also Dorats.

But my last big ebay selling (see the bad day thread about my Hot Toys Wolf Predator drama) has kind of made me kind of skittish about big ticket items on ebay.

I got Gamera a few weeks ago and he's a wonderful figure. I haven't had much time to mess around with him too much. One arm seems a tad looser than the other (or one is stiffer than the other, I have a hard time knowing what's right and what's not). But I haven't fiddled with his chest plates yet, but I honestly don't plant to have that in an open position too much if at all.

Kain, did you buy 3 of those white breath effect sets? Or am I just seeing things wrong?

I got my MKG in today and I think I got a dude. First off the wings are REALLY tight and feel like they can snap when I adjust them and they do make a creeking noise when I adjusted them to put MKG on my shelf. Second the right leg is really lose. Finally the left organic head the bottom jaw fell off when I put him on myself. I got it back on but it's really lose. Oh and finally when I got it in MKG was missing the normal overbox that web exclusives have and his main box was beat to hell. Anyone else have any of these issues?

Should I just send it in for a replacement?

You might want to replace it, especially if you got it from Amazon as you can wait to see if the replacement is better.

Speaking of which, I got my replacement Gamera today and there seems to be no issues with his shell at all. YAY!!

Shin no it was cool where I was upper 40s low 50s and it was raining and plus I let the figure get to room tempature before opening it. I got it before I went to work and left it in the box while I was at work before taking it out.

I'm going to replace it I just noticed that the metal head is missing his upper right teeth. If you pay $200 for something you should not have to worry about crap like this.

I think I've had to replace just as many figures as Kain; Mothra, Battra, Destoroyah Evo Set, Adult Jr and now MKG.

Replacement MKG came in yesterday and it was in worse shape than the first. The left organic neck was off the body and wouldn't reattach while the right organic head the bottom jaw was laying in the box. Plus the web exclsuvie box was excluded and there was nothing inside the shipping box to protect the figure.

I called Amazon and they upgraded my second replacement to over night shipping. I made sure to have them put it in the notes to include to web exclusive box.

Sucks about your MKG, Tom! The worst "issue" mine had was that the horns on one of the heads need to get straightened out. Wings move good, no joint looseness anywhere, and I love these Dorats!

Third MKG came in Friday and one of the necks fell off the body as soon as I opened the packaging as well as the bottom jaw was detached. I used the heat trick to reattach both and thought I was good but yesterday when I adjusted that head both fell off. I'm trying to decided if I want to send this back and just get my money back or go for a fourth replacement.
