yeah that is a very good video. That Gamera looks pretty solid as a figure and very, very nicely sculpted.

EDIT: And looks like the first Gamera stop motion has arrived on Youtube. Such a work of art on that figure.

My Gamera finally arrive today. Gotta say, the figure holds up pretty well. Really really well.

Impressive. I plan to get one later this year. Right now I am saving for trip to Europe and of course Metal Heroes Figuarts!

Would you say Gamera is heavy?

I already have 3 versions of 96 Gamera and it is killing me not to buy this...

If they make Legion however I am instantly sold. I love my Revoltech Legion and a SH Monsters version would be tits.

Congratz on getting it so soon! It does look great!

The POPSinPICS guy on Youtube who I think is named Alex now did a review yesterday and he scaled it with Ultra-Acts and MonsterArts. The Gamera figure looks pretty solid overall and impressive.

Well on the 14th we get to see what else is new for MA possibly at Wonderfest for Winter. This runs alongside the US having Toy Fair this month. Though I don't think nothing will show up at TF from Tamashii as something new for MA or Ultra-Act.

I dig the G64. He scales well with Mothra and Rodan from Revoltech. Pardon my crappy pic quality.

I haven't had much time to post lately, but I got my Gamera two days ago. Took some quick pics, and enjoying the heck out of him!

Its a 30cm kit most likely, but its near prototypes for SHMA G2K and Battra, so I posted it as a joke.

Yuji Sakai posts lots of pictures of his kits but doesn't post SHMA sculpts prior to announcements. So I would be surprised if this was anything more...especially considering the tail being propped...although X-Plus did a "30 cm" Yuji Sakai G'89 and didn't prop the tail..

I really like the Legend-Goji with the glowing dorsal fins. I wish we'd get a release date, because I'd rather have that than the regular release.

I really want that Spitfire Godzilla 2014. The glowing fins look amazing and hopefully they fix the paint on the face this time around.

I'm guessing it will probably be a con exclusive...San Diego maybe.

BOREDOM ALERT:

I was wondering how members here would rank their Top 5 figures.

Mine would be something like this:

1) Biollante - She's massive, features tons of articulation, and is a ton of fun to pose. Pardon the crappy pic quality, but this was really fun (well, not so much for poor Baragon) -

Image

2) A close second would be Rebirth Godzilla. The sculpt is excellent and since Godzilla is my favorite monster, I couldn't drop him below 2nd on the list. This figure perfectly captures the essence of Heisei G and from the pictures/reviews I've seen is a vast improvement over the original Godzilla release.

Image

Image

3) Battra Larva - The paint job is killer and Mothra Larva comes with him as an added bonus.

4) G2K Original release - Purple. Spikes.

5) King Ghidorah - Despite some of the issues with Ghidorah, KG is a massive and imposing toy that is really cool to pose.

Kiryu Heavy Arms and Space Godzilla would be next, followed by Destoroyah. After my top 3 the figures are all pretty close and I could see my opinion changing from time to time. Space Godzilla and Des have a really great paint job. Kiryu is an excellent figure.

My bottom 2 figures would be Heisei MG (he's just kinda dull and really needs Garuda to spruce him up) and Rodan (I sort of hate him).

Top 5:
1. Space Godzilla: This sculpt is beautiful
2+3. Battra + Mothra Larva: These sculpts are beautiful, articulation that makes sense
4. MOGUERA: solid sculpt, great accessories, more releases should aspire to match this
5. Little Godzilla: I hate the character, but can't deny the charm of this sculpt and paint

Bottom 5:
5. Desugoji: He looks like he's wearing a diaper. It's less obvious on "rebirth" but i can't unsee it
4. Creamsicle Explosion Godzilla: Buyer's guilt on this..but this was when i didn't think i'd be skipping any other releases
3. Gigan FW: Everything i dislike about FW Gigan is more obvious than ever in this sculpt (waist, chest, teeth) (Does not match promo shots at all)
2. Mosugoji: Articulation choices are beyond bizarre, mine has QC issues as well
1. Reissues/repaints in general
