That happens for multiple reasons though. It could be hot in the truck or whatever. Its minor really. I just got mine today, and I like how hefty the buildings are. Diorama completion is almost there.

So for some reason Amazon is not going to ship out the other set until Monday or Tuesday, and I'm really thinking I don't need it. It would be cool, but the buildings are just the same ones that came with the army set and the beams are not even colors I would want to display all that much.

I've decided that I'm just going to keep my effects packs sealed and if they go up in price like the Garuda and first effects set I'll sell them. I currently don't have the room to display them so it's not really that big of a deal to me. On a side note I did cancel my G14 preorder. Getting kind of burnt out on the series again; I do have MKG on preorder and that'll probably be the last SHMA I get unless something cool comes out.

Yeah, sadly, there isn't much left Bandai is leaving me excited for. In fact, I am more excited for the 84 and 54 Godzillas from NECA than I am for anything MA related, even MKG.

The only things that could really reignite the flame for it right now is either an 89 Godzilla, GMK Godzilla, King Ceasar, or Anguirus. I already have pretty much everyone else that I consider essential to the franchise even if they aren't my favorite incarnation.

With Metal Heroes coming out, I'm okay with Monsterarts giving me a breather.

I do expect the Mutos, and Legion mother some time next year though. If Mutos, or Anguirus, or Titanosaurus are the only Monsterarts releases done next year as far as new Godzilla releases go, I'll be satisfied.

If a 5 and half inch Gamera costs $90, I'd expect Mother Legion to end up at Biollante prices

Is it really $90? I've been seeing it at 80 everywhere else.

MORE diorama test shots. This time with the Self Defense Forces and effects parts added in.

I like how its coming along. But there is still more to do...

TO DECEMBER!

Nice photos! Are those buildings papercraft? They look great. I really need to get a large table to do my diorama shots, instead of the little one I've been using.

And I preordered Gamera for around 67 dollars, shipping will take him over that price though.

I might have to look into those as I just created a diorama myself today, but my buildings suck ass.

Nevertheless, here are some pics of it (I'll probably change things around if I do get the other accessory set):

So it looks like that Orangish G14 SHMA is being included in the Japanese Collectors edition of G14. That's pretty awesome if you ask me.

This interview was taken at NYCC.

Here's the latest greatest bit of news about the SHMA line. They touch on Gamera, Demographics, Re-issues.

18-35 Demographic? We Adult Swim in here!

Also, I should market my graphic novel to that group.

Probably.

Maybe.

EDIT: Looking at the whole video, I gotta say I just love that frank answer "I don't know." when the rep was asked why the Gamera 2 design was used.

It just seemed like one of those "Gosh what a dumb question" moments Hideki Kamiya gets all the time.

So I have $100 I saved up for the Alien Queen, but it looks like she is not going to be out until next month. As such, I'm thinking about just using that money for the Larva set.

Larvas are pretty rad yo. Lots of heft to them, especially Battra but surprising amount in Mothra as well. You can get some really nice light-piping effects with Battra's eyes too.
