I'm estimating on a grand scale. A lot of folks missed the 1st effects set, so they're looking to double or even triple dip. Whether or not they actually do it remains to be seen, but from what I've seen from varies forums, these are pretty up there in demand. If they are around for Christmas, I'll be surprised.

Also, I don't know where someone thought Amazon was selling G2K for $156. Its lowest price is $280 shipped.

Some diorama sample shots I did this morning

The flames, explosions, and military will be put to great use. More importantly, I want to paint a nice backdrop, that I am still figuring out its specifications. How to do it will be really easy.

I follow Bob Ross' wonderful instructions

Just bought my first MonsterArts today (if you don't count my pre-order for the 96 Gamera).

The Re-birth Godzilla and Little Godzilla :D

Hopefully there are no QC issues. I'll probably stop my Monsterarts collecting with these two and the Gamera. Not a fan of the super-articulated look (I'd rather spend that amount of money on X-Plus) but these three look too good to pass up.

lol That is what we all said. I was just going to buy Kamen Rider Black and Shadow Moon for Figuarts and be done with it. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah, we see how well that worked. For MA, I was just going to get Biollante and a Godzilla, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah on that too.

Yeah, we'll see. What are your thoughts on these two (Rebirth Godzilla and little G)? Do you have favorites from the line?

Adult Jr. is a solid mold, and he's got great articulation. Slightly disappointed in Little Godzilla's articulation, as I thought he had great molding. My favorites from this line? G2K, the Larvas, and Gigan are my favorites for sure.

I like the articulation in Little Godzilla, however, I would have like the tail to be articulated.

I love the sculpt of Little Godzilla, but his size and smallness makes expansive articulation hard without either altering his proportions or massive gaps. Similarly with Morguera as well, his boxy design doesn't fit too well with over articulation. You can only turn his head so far before it pops off.

Is Gamera 96 confirmed at 5 and half inches height?

I'm note sure about that one. He'd probably be of similar size or a bit larger if he's in scale to the Godzilla figures (supposedly 1/700 scale). It looks like he has a lot of mass on him though, just looking at the shell, and his flight mode.

Hey Naruto65...would you ask Bluefin (since they have the actual Gamera figure now and having displayed it at the New York Comic Con) if they would post a comparison picture or pictures of the new Gamera scaled along with the Heisei Godzilla (or even Zillas to include the first Goji release)? That probably would allow everyone to see how the figure looks size and bulk wise against what many folks would pose it with in a diorama or some other display.

Gamera is measured at 5.5 inches in a neutral pose. Making it stand straight up will make it taller than G64 which is 5.7 inches tall.

I assume then the character has a lot more mass in him, because he's got a friggin' shell and his hands legs, and feet are pretty wide.

It'll be good for people who missed out on the mold, and it's a smart move by Bandai when the first version sells for $200+, but I'm not sure many people are going to be into slate-gray spines instead of purple ones. Would've been an easier sell if the spines were more purple instead. I'm very glad I already picked up the first version and didn't sell it, it's probably not going to fall in price that much.

That's fine. I can pass of this figure and save up for MKG or Gamera.

Hope people like it as much as the first release. Hope its price isn't marked up for being a special rerelease or something.

This doesn't bother me much. My cousin missed his chance at a Godzilla 2000, so now he can get it. I can lay off April, and probably be happy with SHFiguarts Card Captor Sakura instead!

(o_o ) Or Combiner Wars figures.

Anyway, cool.

sure makes you wonder if they are going to ever do the movie suit from the Millennium series. Doing an exact prior mold with a color tweak makes you really wonder.

The sole purpose for doing this figure was because of NA demand. Many people missed G2KM, so they want to cater to them, but also current collectors by changing the colors. Apparently there is a collector's market for the same molds but different colors. Not my thing personally, but cool for those that are interested. In any case, this release does not mean that the Wakasa version won't come in the future. It's just another chance for individuals that missed out on this figure. It's a web exclusive as well, expected to be around $79.99 and available to NA May 2015. Hi-Res images coming soon.

Five bucks more than the first release? Not too bad. Thought it might be a bit more expensive. Hoped it wouldn't be, but glad to see the price difference is minimal.
