Thanks for the info! Playing around with Adult Jr. He's such a great figure. I am wondering if he was resculpted though. Naruto65 is correct when he says the sculpt has more musculature, but I wonder if its because of the coloring (charcoal greyish black with a feint blue grey wash), or if it is actually retouched.

I also recently got the Destoroyah Evolution set. Hmm... I like em. I do think the paint job could have been a bit better. BUT NEVER FEAR! Real touch Gundam Marker is here!

I used Red and Blue real touch markers from the Federation set, used for detailing and went over parts that were still bright red. In mine this was very significant on the face of the flying Destoroyah. Anyway, I ran the blue real touch marker over the parts, then the red, then the blending pen. And just let it dry out. Looks great!

Also, I recently colored Destoroyah's eyes with gundam marker gold. Both the Final and Flying form. It looks good, and any residue can be touched up easily with the Real Touch Gundam Marker technique I used.

Looks like I spoke too soon about my Adult Jr. he came in half while I was moving it around, thankfully though it was real easy to put the ball joint into the two body connecting pieces. If it happens again I might have to get so clear nail polish to tighten up the ball joint that connects the two body pieces.

I'm not liking how each new figure in the line gets a few QC issues. Hopefully G14 doesn't have issues.

I guess it depends on which figures though. I have had no problems at all with the Mothra and Battra figures, both the adults and Larvas. And same for the Sailor Senshi, and the Smile Pretty Cures I've gotten this year or the Ranger figuarts.

I am curious about the Hibiki figuarts though. My brother is looking forward to that one in particular.

From what I have seen for Hibiki, the paint is flaking and people are having issues with the hips falling apart.

For Gaim, the sword holsters for Gaim and Zangetsu are not that great.

More pictures of G14 surfaced on FB. Honestly, the teeth seem quite a bit different from the prototype...not a fan. My enthusiasm for this figure has waned some. I might wait til I see more before buying it.

Probably taken from this Japanese blog anyway: http://blogppoi.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/ ... la-14.html

The teeth don't look great, but paint slop on tiny details is almost universally one of those "your mileage may vary" situations, so I'm not going to judge the figure by one set of bad photos. I've said it before as well and it's not really applicable here as everything else looks great, but this is also the guy that manages to make any toy look bad in his photography.

Well I've already pre-ordered two of these figure through amazon and even with those pictures, I'm still not turned off from the figure but I will have to say that the paint job for the teeth on those photos looks really bad.

With the screen shots show Jet Jaguar in the new Bandai PS3 game, what is the likelihood that we might see an SH Monsterarts figure of our good friend?

Yikes, those teeth are pretty bad. But then, Gigan's teeth looked like they were going to be bad and they were fine, so it is probably just how they were taken.

I thought Gigan's were going to be fine but they look awful in person.

Godziller can pull a Kamehameha without much effort!

Outside the horribly painted teeth, the molding, segmentation and articulation look superb. I get mine in a few days

Yeah. The paint app and especially the teeth look horrendous. The sad part is I like everything else, even some of the other changes on the figure. The spikes look great.

I'm not too worried about the paint apps on the teeth and snout in my case. But that is a horrible paintjob on the teeth and snout. The dry brushing on the scales and stomach are really nice. My only problem are the mouth and snout. Also I did not notice the tongue!

As for my remedy? Dull it out with grey and brown gundam real touch marker. Everything is consistent about those horrid teeth and snout. Also the eyes there are pretty lelsy.

EDIT: It appears he can look up! I'm so going to replicate the roar from the end of the movie

So from all intents and purposes G 14 should be avoided then due to the problems present in the figure. I was thinking on getting this but then again I may have to resort to going to NECA instead.
